Further work on viable spore counting suggests 5% Peptone-12%gelatine atn70 F as the medium of preference since colonies is larger and easier to count than in the 5% Peptone-agar medium at 85 F the other non-gassing medium which has been used,nNo increase in number of colonies between 10 days incubation and 6 months incubation in 5% Peptone-12% gelatin at 70 F has been found with spores of four Type E strains.
