PLASTIC-SASS, an ALTAC-3 computer program, determines stresses and deflections in a flat plate rectangular reactor subassembly. Elastic, plastic, and creep properties are used to calculate the results of temperature, pressure, and fuel expansion. Plate deflections increase or decrease local channel thick¬nesses and thus produce a hydraulic load which is a function of fuel plate deflection.
