摘要

A weighed portion of the ore sample is opened by fusion with alkali carbonates. After dissolution of the cooled melt in water and sulphuric acid, the above elements are separated successively and in that order and determined as follows:nThe solution of the ore is evaporated to fumes of sulphuric acid. From the diluted solution the precipitated silica is separated by filtration and determined by the hydrofluoric acid volatilization procedure.nFrom the filtrate from the above separation the iron is separated as cupferrate. After removal of all organic matter the iron in the resulting sulphuric acid solution is determined volumetrically by titration with potassium dichromate solution.
