摘要

A large cancerogenic dose of Strontium89 was given intraperitoceally to virgin female CF1 mice. They were treated with the following chemical agents:zirconium citrate, magnesium citrate, barium disodium versenate, magnesium disodium versenate, A.T. 10 (dihydrotachysceroi), potassium oxalate and calcium gluconate. The effectiveness of these agents in reducing Strontium89 uptake and retention was determined by the incidence and latent pericd of bone tumor appearance.nZirconium citrate alone, of all the agents tried, inhibited the development of Strontium89 induced osteogenic sarcoma. Early and repeated intra¬peritoncal administration of zirconium citrate following injection of Strontium89 lengthened the latent period of osteogenic sarcoma in these animals.
