THE EFFECT OF CHEMICAL NATURE OF HEATING SURFACES ON THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS OF POOL BOILING LIQUIDS Final Report for February 1, 1952-June 15, 1955
The work undertaken in the A.B.C. contract AT (U-1)-219 bad as its objective the investigation of the effect of the chemical nature of the heat transfer surfaces on the boiling heat transfer coefficients when the boiling took place from a pool. The work began 1 February 1952 and was terminated 15 fumes 1955.nApparatus and procedures have been developed for these studies aimed at giving core of an understanding of the mechanism of the boiling process. The heat transfer device is a high vacuum, glass and natal apparatus and houses the 18 gage copper test wires which are electrically heated with D.C. current.
