摘要

The note re-examines the assumptions made previously in deriving the concentration of dynamic stress at a sharp change of section. It is concluded that the same analysis may be used to predict the dynamic stress concentration at a chamfered change of section, such as to be found on the gas baffle of Dungeness 'B'. The result is verified by experiment.
