A laser for medical applications as well as laser-optical components were developed. A prototype of a compact, reliable CO2 laser of medium power (20 W CW) was developed, built, and tested. For high-power lasers in the 10.6 micrometer range, all essential components (lenses, mirrors, windows, and beam splitters) were developed, with specifications according to the state of the art. The preliminary testing of developed beam guidance systems was positive. A test laboratory for the testing of high-power IR laser optics under realistic conditions was built.
