摘要

Digital structures of modem components and control systems and their behavior were investigated using digital simulation. An optimal maximum likelihood receiver structure is described. Mathematical methods and models for a nearly realistic simulation of digital modem systems are treated, with emphasis on the control systems for amplitude, distortion correction, carrier recovery, and scanning frequency determination. The global data transmission channel was simulated; the required special arrangements for the control systems, their structure and dimensioning are described. Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of the digital simulation, but also that the perturbing effects of a digital realization have to be minimized.
