摘要

The main goal of the Tropical Oceans-Global Atmosphere Experiment (TOGA) is to study the interannual variability of the coupled ocean-atmosphere system and its impact upon global climate. TOGA is supposed to take a decade to be completed starting in January, 1985, and Brazil is among the participant nations. The preliminary Brazilian intentions and needs within the framework in TOGA are contained also included are oceanographic and atmospheric data collection and storage, oceanic and atmospheric modeling, and research priorities.
