摘要

The two-fluid model of turbulent combustion was applied to a one-dimensional, unsteady, confined, premixed flame with idealized initial and boundary conditions. The results show that steady oscillations may occur after the steady-state flame is disturbed. A systematic, parametric study is performed to establish instability regions. The results indicate a possible mechanism of oscillatory burning in, for example, afterburner systems for aircraft jet engines.
