The main study objectives can be summarized as follows: investigation of suitable spacecraft configurations; performance of trade-offs on system and subsystem level including mission and cost aspects; selection and justification of the preferred system concept; detailed analysis of the selected configuration; system and subsystem design; refined payload accommodation; definition of the model philosophy; preparation of the development plan; and provision of realistic cost estimates.
