摘要

The basic concepts and the development of a proposed thickness design procedure for high strength stabilized base (HSSB) pavements are presented. Traffic, subgrade modulus, HSSB design compressive strength, asphalt concrete surface thickness, and design reliability factors are considered. ILLI-PAVE based design algorithms are utilized in the procedure. HSSB fatigue consumption is the design criteria. The procedure can be easily modified to accommodate conditions other than those considered in the design procedure presented in Appendix A.
