In the report some possibilities are tried out to control the sea level in a basin, connected to the open sea through a strait of controllable width. The mathematical model for the time behavior of the water current in the strait and of the water level in the basin was borrowed from a paper by Mosetti (1). The difference with Mosetti's study concerns the numerical solution and the selection of realistic boundary conditions.
