摘要

Tillage, hybrid, and fertilizer N effects on stand establishment of maize (Zea mays) were evaluated on a Wentworth silty clay loam, a Nicollet clay loam, and a Tara silt loam. Tillage treatments included fall moldboard plow spring disk (FP), fall chisel-spring disk (FC), no-tillage before planting (NT) and ridge tillage (RT); all plots on Wentworth sicl and Nicollet cl were cultivated after planting. On the tara silt only RT plots were cultivated after planting. Tillage by hybrid, tillage by fertilizer or tillage by hybrid by fertilizer interactions on maize stand establishment were observed. Generally, interactions resulted in a smaller populations for certain hybrids with reduced tillage.
