摘要

The thesis analyzes effects of the $12,000,000 Competency Based Certification (CBC) and physical distribution training programs on inventory accuracy at seven Navy supply centers. The Navy developed job specific training materials following the Navy Instructional Systems Development (ISD) methodology and certified that trained workers could perform their jobs. The author analyzed the quality, timeliness, and productivity of workers compared to the percent of time devoted to CBC training, physical distribution training, and overtime. The author used four methods of analysis: a t test for change between the pre and post training performance, the cumulative change in performance since training began compared to the amount of training conducted, linear regression, and multiple regression.
