The aim of the Center is to provide a broad range of technical resources in a comprehensive economic development program designed to alleviate conditions of low income, high unemployment and environment deterioration. The primary objective of the Center is to provide management counseling and assistance to private business in order to aid decision-making in all phases of business formation, stabilization and expansion. More specifically, the Urban Economic Development Center's objectives include assistance in the areas of capitalization, plant selection, administration, supervision, work force skills, training, sales, market research, quality control, management guidance and financing.
