The manual supplements the Workshop for Quality Control of Scintillation Cameras in Nuclear Medicine, HEW Publication 76-8039. It is an important resource tool for workshop sessions aimed at providing an understanding of the operation of field uniformity correction devices. The manual discusses the advantages, disadvantages, variables, and factors affecting the operation of field uniformity correction devices. A set of slides is available from the National Center for Devices and Radiological Health's Division of Training and Medical Applications for use in conjunction with the written material.
