摘要

The survey was conducted in four pre-selected tracts to be impacted by Brazilian pepper tree control, and resulted in the identification of seven sites, six of which are recent histories. The one prehistoric site has in situ shell midden deposits comprised predominantly of whelk, but with some oyster present. The site is part of a complex of shell midden sites on the south and western shores of Tarpon Bay, and the eastern shore of Kesson Bayou.
