摘要

The report details the effect of an agroindustrial project on the region of El Alem in Tunisia. It covers the region's history from the beginning to the end of the project. The physical properties of the region's soil, its rainfall, the human environment, the use of the soil and administrative and financial management, and the effect of the Tunisian/Austrian Project on the Region. On the project the report discusses the technical equipment for irrigation, stables, farm houses, creation of an industrial unit to produce concentrated food, electrical and irrigation equipment, project financing, and its profitability. The report then reviews the changes realized by the project including modifications in the technical order, and problems of training personnel. The study found that the project not only increased production dramatically, but also spread new technologies to neighboring regions. The project also had a profound social effect by creating 500 new jobs related to the expansion of production through maintenance of new machines and service industries made possible by the region's higher income.
