To help A.I.D. focus and prioritize its irrigation efforts in India, this report reviews current A.I.D. irrigation projects (IP) in the country and presents irrigation development options and investment strategies for the 1980's. After background sections on irrigation in India and the USAID/1 irrigation program, the authors review the technical and organizational aspects of 14 A.I.D. IP's and training programs in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.
