An activated sludge facility treating a combination of municipal sewage and waste water from a textile bleachery and dye works was examined for factors that might influence the degree of microbial flocculation and effluent quality. A microbiological examination of prevalent genera was performed to indicate the relative stability in the community structure of populations.
