The document is an introductory guide to the use of remote sensing in environmental analyses, with specific application of various remote sensing systems. Basic considerations of photographic interpretation are given with examples of different types of aerial and satellite imagery and photography. Examples include: black and white, and color aerial photography (including infrared); multispectral photography; satellite imagery and photography; SLAR (Side-Looking Airborne Radar); thermal infrared imagery; and, oblique photography.
