A study was carried out of the effect of exposure to elevated temperature creep conditions on the short-time mechanical properties of a high-strength, heat-treatable titanium alloy, Ti- 16V-2. 5A1. Exposures were conducted for 10 or 100 hours either unstressed or at stresses causing up to 2-percent creep deformation at temperatures between 600°and 900°F.The specimens were taken parallel to the sheet rolling direction,
