摘要

The problems of statistical analysis of propagation data are considered, and methods and equipment used by the Microwave Laboratory is described.nThe field strength is usually recorded with pen recorders, and these recordings are transferred into a fivedigit binary code by a manually operated curve converter. The binary code is stored as perforations on ordinary punched teletype tape.nWhen statistical analysis is made from the punched tape by electronic equipment, the data can be read with a speed of 1000 numbers per second. At present the computer will calculate distribution curves both for at single set of data and for a diversity system where it is assumed that the receiver with the highest field strength will handle the signal.
