A prototype thermistor-bridge power meter for measuring the r-f power dissipated in VHF quartz crystals was constructed and tested. Comparative measurements indicated the unit to be capable of measuring r-f power from 0.5 to 4.0 mw with an accuracy of ± 5 percent.nAn experimental UHF capacitance bridge oscillator was constructed that displayed characteristics suitable for use with the coaxial bridge. Crystal controlled oscillations as high as 420 mc/sec were obtained with a modified version of this oscillator.
