A Navy Type SPA-8A radar plan-position indicator was modified to display two synchronized radar-video inputs on a time-shared basis. A characteristic of these radar inputs was that they possessed common or synchronized triggers and either synchronized antenna rotation which fixed azimuth displacement or unsynchronized antenna rotation. This report out-lines two applications for this type of indicator and the modification and factors to be considered when time-sharing.
