摘要

A method for evaluating the resistance to polishing of a non-specular finish is presented. The polishing apparatus consists of an “endless” belt made of a standard fabric and driven by a small sanding machine. Gloss measurements are made before and after the polishing operation. The procedure is rapid, convenient, and free from the subjective errors of hand polishing.
