摘要

The purpose of this report was to conduct a meta and gap analysis of statistical research into changing demographic, workplace, and workforce trends that affect the employment of people with disabilities, synthesizing the existing literature and identifying areas for future research. This research project intended to use meta and gap analysis methodologies that would require systematic identification and analyses of diverse sources of information on the subject. However, given the nature of available studies and the limitations of the data, a meta-analysis was not practical as initially planned. Most major surveys had not been designed to assess disability itself until recently. Consequently, data sufficient for comparisons across surveys and studies did not exist for a meta-analysis to be conducted.
