摘要

Many local officials, technical specialists, and representatives of private sector concerns in coastal areas of the United States were contacted for information during the preparation of this manual. FEMA acknowledges the contributions of the individuals and organizations listed here, who provided technical guidance, historical data, graphics materials, regional insights, and other information concerning coastal hazards, building codes and standards, and the siting, design, construction, and maintenance of coastal residential buildings. Through their participation, they helped make this manual a comprehensives, useful tool for reducing building damage caused by natural hazard events in coastal areas of the United States.
