摘要

The first NIST Women's Summit, 'Women in Science, Redefined: Tactics and Alliances to Address and Change Systemic Trends Affecting Women in Science, Engineering and Technology,' was held March 12 and 13, 2002, at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gathersburg, MD. This document summarizes the activities of the two-day event and presents some observations and recommended actions to be taken by NIST management and individuals to foster a more supportive work environment. (Note: in addition to this written record of the Summit, the event was videotaped. The tape is available from the NIST Diversity Program Office.)
