This publication is the first research report of the 'Infill Systems for OpenBuilding in Housing' research and development project. It consists of information and analysis of both Finnish products and foreign infill systems and products suitable for residential open building. The foreign part of the survey and analysis focuses on Japan and the Netherlands, in which there have been versatile open building developments for decades, and on Denmark, which is a relatively similar country to Finland with its building system developments and housing culture. The infill systems and products surveyed are analyzed from different points of view and the most essential development needs of infill products for Finland are briefly presented. The survey is limited to the products that are fit for newly built multi-family housing.
