In 1997 an education program for secretarial staff started at FOA. The aim of this program, called Agata, which went on for almost one year, was to develop the competences of the secretaries and office assistants with regard to the demand of the future. During that time a wide network of contacts was created between the secretaries all over FOA, which has made the work much easier to perform. In spring 1998 an evaluation was carried out at FOA considering the secretarial function. The purpose was to elucidate the secretarial duties of today and tomorrow, the needs of further education as well as organizational questions.
