The National Aerospace Laboratory NLR in the Netherlands has developed a new211u001egeneration of Test and Verification Equipment (TVE) for testing of Attitude and 211u001eOrbit Control Subsystems of spacecraft. Based on a prototype TVE developed for 211u001eESA, test equipment has been developed by Matra Marconi Space for AOCS subsystem 211u001eand system level testing of the XMM and INTEGRAL scientific satellites. This 211u001epaper describes the test concept and the architecture of the XMM test system with 211u001eits main features, the incremental development and delivery, and experiences 211u001eobtained during development and use of the system.
