摘要

A two-year effort was undertaken to address desiccant materials performancetechnologies evaluation issues and problems affecting successful expansion of natural gas-fueled desiccant cooling technologies. The work effort concentrated on three specific goals. The first of our goals was to identify developmental materials and matrices with the potential of lowering the cost of systems or improving their operating effectiveness. An update on the status of such developments have been overdue. The second goal, was to establish a library of material properties to develop, as the third goal, an engineering tool for evalauting desiccant systems' designs. Neither the complied properties nor a generalized computer program for designing and evaluating desiccant systems with various duties was in existance. significant progress has been made in each specified above work areas and the program goal achieved.
