摘要

We appreciate the opportunity to share our views on the recommendations containedin the recently released report of the White House Commission on Aviation Safety and Security. The Commission's 57 recommendations broadly cover safety, security, air traffic control, and disaster response. Our testimony this morning, based on this prior work and on an analysis of the Commission's recommendations, will focus on the implementation issues relating to three areas addressed by the Commission: aviation safety, air traffic control modernization, and aviation security.
