A new study establishes a strong link between the highway network and national economic performance. Unique in the depth and breadth of its 35-industry analysis, this research sheds new light on the commercial benefits of highway infrastructure investments. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is pleased to present this research because it clearly documents the highway network's contribution to industry productivity growth, national economic performance, and international competitiveness.
