摘要

The project developed a multi-use light emitting device with delineation andwarning capabilities, based on light-emitting diode (LED) technology. The prototype development involved design and construction of the internal hardware for the LED light source which can be placed in different types of housing allowing the device to be used as a delineator, raised pavement marker, or steady-burn/flashing warning light. Results based on accelerated testing show that the LED light source concept works as expected and produces significant gains over the conventional light source.
