摘要

The paper reports on a numerical study of turbulent flow over a sand dune.Turbulence is modeled either by the standard k-epsilon model or a k-epsilon model based on the renormalization group theory recently derived by Yakhot et al. The calculations are carried out with a finite volume discretization in general coordinates on a staggered grid. Details on computing times of the calculations are given. It appears that the computations reproduce the essential features of the flow observed in the experiment.
