摘要

The transmission of multimedia page sequences in real-time tele-educationpresentations via narrowband links results in unacceptable end-to-end delays. This paper proposes a time-shifting method referred to as pretransfer which transfers presentation data in background during the session, without user involvement. Point-to-point and multipoint protocols are discussed. For multicast situations an effective page-scheduling method is developed.
