摘要

The weatherproof, temperature-controlled cabinet described in the report was designed to provide a constant-temperature operating environment for an electrolytic type moisture analyzer. During the cabinet's use, ambient temperatures ranged from -5 degrees to 21 degrees C and wind speeds were generally in excess of 5 m/s. Under these conditions, the temperature inside the cabinet was maintained to within + or - 0.5 degrees C of a preselected set point, thereby providing the environment needed for the analyzer to yield accurate data. Design parameters of the cabinet can be modified to provide a weatherproof, temperature-controlled environment for other types of instrumentation and at other ambient temperature ranges. The cabinet was constructed inexpensively using commercially available, off-the-shelf items.
