The Gas Research Institute has initiated an extensive hydraulic fracturingresearch project to improve the understanding, modeling and implementation of the hydraulic fracturing process. As the Lead Technical Contractor for the GRI Tight Gas Sands program, S. A. Holditch and Associates, Inc. has initiated research into improving the understanding of fracture fluid rheology. The purpose of the report is to summarize the research conducted by S. A. Holditch and Associates to examine the variables affecting crosslinked HPG gel degradation by enzyme oxidative, and catalyzed oxidative breakers.
