摘要

Ground-borne vibrations caused by trains constitute a problem at many sites inSweden today. The vibrations propagating to the buildings may be perceptible by the residents. In Sweden there are no legal criteria for the annoyance caused by vibrations in residential areas. However, there are at least four different proposals for criteria. Measurements were made in the field, in 12 houses near Gothenburg. The measurements were made simultaneously with two different methods; the one used by the Swedish National Rail Administration and the Nordtest method respectively. The results from the two methods have been compared in different ways. The residents were asked about their subjective experience of annoying vibrations in their homes. These results have been compared to the measured values. There is no significant agreement between measured vibration and the annoyance experienced by the test persons. However, the number of persons in the test was small.
