This research based on the phenomena of that the bribery case traveler's checksudfor winning the election of Miranda Swaray Goeltom Senior Governor of BankudIndonesia in 2004 which has a lot to drag the name of famous politicians. This caseudstarted rolling since 2008.udThe method used to determine the meanings is to use a semiotic analysisudincluded descriptive qualitative research. Here using the theory of semiotics CharlesudSanders Peirce, who divides signs into three categories: icon, index and symbol.udThe results of this research, according to researchers, the efforts of Miranda to protectudthe crime of others to cover up his role in the case of traveler's checks. However, anyudsteps taken, giving rise to suspicion that led to the position of being cornered in the caseudof Miranda's checks.
