If you want to redesign a library system, it's extremely important to understand and analyze the present situation, which of course can not only be described by counting objects (books, furniture, equipment etc.). You must not forget the library users who should be asked about how they receive the library services being offered, as they are the alive receivers of these services. This study, at the first place, is going to analyze the needs of the students of the Greek Academic Libraries. Is also trying to answer questions about the present offered information to users, or about the problems they do face, and is also trying to describe their future demands. Having always in our mind that "the best information service is useless if it's not used", we performed this study just to emphasise how great importance users needs are, in designing a better library service.
