The author tries to present libraries as places for artistic creation and auto-creation of their users, analysing their ability to participation in so called high culture and the ways libraries can and should shape artistic taste and norms. Then, the significance of art related activities for developing personal interests, improving proficiency and choosing right jobs (e.g. actors and actresses, journalists, lawyers or teachers) are discussed. The author also tries to identify the relations between artistic successes of disabled or socially misfit library users and their success in life.
