The objective of research is to find out the social relation as well as economicudrelation of the traditional food producing society in the term of tempe industryudbusiness sustainability. The businessman social network includes the relationsudestablished in the craftsman life. Meanwhile the scope of business sustainabilityudincludes seeing the production process from sociological aspects encompassingudcapital, labor, production process as well as marketing of tempe.udThe subject of research is the tempe producing society in KelurahanudMojosongo particularly Debegan. In addition, it also involves the cooperativeudadministrators as well as the people surrounding. The research method employed wasudthe qualitative one. The data source collection was done using observation andudinterview involving about 7 respondents and other library study. The samplingudtechnique used was Maximum Variation Sampling and the technique of analyzinguddata used was an interactive model.udThe result of analysis shows that there is an interaction among the tempeudproducers in the form of cooperation, mutual cooperation, friendship, and equalityudwith other individual in the social network. The business sustainability tends to colorudthe social relation with other parties such as the businessman, employee, supplier andudcustomer in the purpose of maintaining the existing resource that can affect theudcapital, human resource, production and marketing sustainability. In the term ofudsocial network with the business sustainability there is mutual benefit relationshipudfrom both social and economic aspects, in turn the better interaction will beudestablished for the future life and as the means of developing the tempe industryudbusiness in Debegan, Kelurahan Mojosongo, Subdistrict Jebres, Municipal Surakarta.udThe conclusion of research is that the social sector of businessman relates toudthe businessman’s economic sector. Such relation include the craftsman’s socialudstatus will affect the craftsman’s economic level. The social relations established areudgenerally in harmonies with the social system prevailing and they still ignore theudconflicts and changes occurring in the society because there is still sense of kinship.udIn addition, the social and economic relations also relate to the business sustainabilityudin improving the production result as well as to expand the marketing network.
