Abstract. - An inventory of the erosion events was conducted to show the effects of corn cultivation in Calvados. Corn cultivation causes wide-spread runoff corresponding to parcels degraded by crop workings or to those used for plastic-covered crops. The erosion phenomenon shows exchanges between surfaces emitting runoff and those emitting sediments. These exchanges of transport capabilities require an approach using appropriate scales from plot to watershed. The first results emphasize the strong runoff capacity of plastic-covered crop parcels or parcels compacted after crop workings. These results have allowed anti erosion measures to be tested.
