摘要

The invention relates to a container (10) configured to be used for receiving or discharging portions (23) of product mass flow (20, 27) formed from rod-shaped articles (19) of the tobacco processing industry along a conveying direction in a system (18) used for discretizing or forming product mass flow (20, 27). The container includes a base body (16) formed by two side walls (11, 12), two end walls (13, 14) and a bottom wall (15), the base body forms a receiving space (17) used for the portions (23), the receiving space (17) is designed to be used for receiving the portions (23) in a width transverse to the conveying direction T and at a height vertical to the bottom wall (15), the portions have original structures and original cross sections of the input product mass flow (20, 27) or structures and cross sections of product mass flow (20, 27) to be formed, the two end walls (13, 14) are at least partially opened to be used for collision-free conveying in the system (18), and at least one of the two side walls (11, 12) is adjustable and/or positionable relative to the other side wall (11, 12) to be used for change an interval A between the side walls (11, 12). The invention also relates to a system (18) having the container (10) and an adjusting workstation (53) used for automatically adjusting the container (10).
