The present invention relates to a system for displaying at least one control space located in a given work area associated with a reference system and defining a volume in which a portable tool is authorized to operate, comprising: a geolocation system capable of locating the portable tool, means for controlling the tool receiving the location of said portable tool and authorizing its operation if said tool is located in the control space, said control space having a border defined inside said work area by coordinates recorded in the memory of said control means, a portable device (11) separate from said tool and carrying a camera (12), display means (13), and means for determining the location and orientation of said camera in said repository, said portable device (11) and said display means (13) receiving said coordinates defining the boundaries of e the control space and take into account said location and orientation of said portable device to transmit in real time visual signals representative of said borders by projecting them within the work area or by displaying them on a screen.
