The invention concerns a portable workbench (2) comprising a foldable frame (4) and a main panel (6) to be mounted on said frame (4) to form a work surface (8); the workbench (2), in its mounted position, has a rigid upper structure (16) extending in a square or rectangular shape; the main panel (6) comprises two pivoting sub-panels (12, 12'), configured to pivot upwards to fold the panel (6) in order to dismantle the workbench (2).
